How to sign up to Cosnautas?
It's very easy:
- Go to the «Registration» page.
- Fill in the boxes, click «Confirm» and go to the following page.
- Select the type of subscription you wish to buy.
- If your subscription is not free, make the payment using your preferred method (PayPal or credit card).
- Activate your account by clicking on the link sent to the email address you registered with.
- Select «Sign in» on the «Home» page and enter your username and password to access your account.
How to purchase a gift subscription?
- Click on this link, which you will also find on the «Home» and «Registration» pages.
- Select the gift subscription you wish to purchase.
- Fill in the information requested.
- Make your payment.
What is the difference between Cosnautas Basic, Español, Français, Deutsch, Português and Platinum?
- Cosnautas Basic: allows access to all our complimentary resources, i.e., Árbol de Cos, SME, Allergology and Immunology, DIC, IRIS, Covid-19, DPS and Cercaterm.
- Cosnautas Español: enables access to the Libro Rojo, in addition to all our free resources.
- Cosnautas Français: allows access to MedLexic, in addition to all our free resources.
- Cosnautas Deutsch: enables access to Medizin, in addition to all our free resources.
- Cosnautas Português: allows access to DDD, in addition to all our free resources.
- Cosnautas Platinum: enables access to absolutely all our resources, both free and paid.

Can I try Cosnautas Français, Español, Deutsch or Português before buying a paid subscription?
Absolutely. You only need to sign up for Cosnautas Basic, which is a completely free subscription. As soon as you activate your account, a seven-day trial period will begin during which you will have access to all paid resources.
How to change or renew my subscription?
- Click on the «My subscriptions» tab, which appears in the dropdown menu bearing your username, in the top right of the main menu.
- At the bottom left of the page you will find the «Purchase or upgrade subscription» button.
- Select the subscription you wish to purchase.
- If your subscription is not free, make the payment using your preferred method (PayPal or credit card).
What does the message «Connection limit exceeded for this user» mean?
If you have purchased an individual subscription, you can only connect to Cosnautas from a single device or browser. This message warns you that you have more than one active session at the same time. To resolve this, log out of the other devices or wait for the session to expire automatically.
Invoices and receipts
Request invoices, redeem codes, discounts.
How can I request an invoice?
If you are self-employed or a company, during the purchase process, on the «Payment method» page, you can check the box «I am self-employed or a company and I need an invoice» and fill in the corresponding fields. The invoice will be generated automatically and sent to you by email.
How can I redeem a code for a subscription?
If you do not yet have a Cosnautas account, you will need to create one following the instructions in the previous section. Once you have accessed your account, follow these steps:
- In the «My subscriptions» tab, click on the «Purchase or upgrade subscription» button.
- Check the box that says «I have a code to redeem for a subscription».
- Enter the code and click «Confirm».
How can I use a discount code?
- In the «My subscriptions» tab, click on the «Purchase or upgrade subscription» button.
- Select the subscription you wish to purchase and click «Continue».
- On the «Payment method» page, enter the code in the «Do you have a discount code?» field and click «Apply».
- The discount will be applied automatically to the total amount.

Pronouncing headwords and how to cite Cosnautas resources.
How can I hear the pronunciation of headwords?
Most resources include one or more speaker buttons in each of their entries. By clicking on them, you can hear the pronunciation of the headwords. The buttons are programmed to read the text in the language of the corresponding headword.
How do I cite Cosnautas resources?
In the health sciences, the most common citation styles are Vancouver and APA, but the institution for which you are writing your publication may require you to follow its own conventions. Below are the bibliographic references for each of our resources:
